On the second day of the 1st Transnational Meeting, the three partner organizations, RTIS Network, Formedil-Bari, and Brigada do Mar, embarked on a visit to the Efpallinio VET School in Alimos, where they received a comprehensive presentation on the five thematic educational areas being covered by the school.
The presentation provided a detailed overview of the curriculum being taught to the 290 students enrolled at the school, showcasing the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education. Following the presentation, the three partners introduced the ZP4All project, outlining its vision, mission, and objectives clearly and concisely.
The partners emphasized the importance of addressing plastic pollution in a comprehensive and collaborative approach and highlighted the key role vocational education and training (VET) institutions play in this endeavor.
The meeting outcome was overwhelmingly successful, with the VET school agreeing to collaborate with the ZP4All partners and undergo training for educators and students on plastic pollution.
As part of this collaboration, the school will utilize the project's e-platform and smart app, providing a range of tools and resources to support their educational activities. The school will also use the project's guide and manual, which will serve as a valuable reference for educators and students alike. Furthermore, the VET school has committed to providing support in disseminating project information, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring the initiative's sustainability over time.
This collaborative effort marks an important step in promoting education and awareness about plastic pollution among VET students and centers across Europe.
